Alyson Knapik Receives Prestigious Academic Award at Illinois College

Alyson Knapik of Decatur has been recognized as a Rammelkamp Scholar after ranking at the top of her class in 2010-2011.
Knapik, a graduate of St. Teresa High School, was one of nine students who compiled the highest academic grade point average at Illinois College. Each Rammelkamp Scholar receives a stipend to apply toward tuition.
Knapik, a mathematics major, is the daughter of Roderic and Tracey Knapik of Decatur.
The Rammelkamp Award honors the memory of Dr. Charles Henry Rammelkamp, president of Illinois from 1905-1932. His career interest in academic excellence provided the inspiration for the award.
