Alyssa Lopez Earns Prestigious Academic Award at Illinois College

Alyssa Lopez of Hanover Park was among the students at Illinois College recognized for academic excellence April 27 when the liberal arts college held its annual Honors Day Celebration.

Lopez, a junior, was awarded the Friedrich Engelbach Memorial Scholarship. The Friedrich Engelbach Memorial Scholarship is awared to a student(s) exhibiting an aptitude in the sciences who intends to pursue a degree in a health.

Lopez, a graduate of Bartlett High School, is the daughter of Monico Lopez and Damaris Torres of Hanover Park.
