Amibeth Thompson Earns Prestigious Academic Award at Illinois College

Amibeth Thompson of Manchester was among the students at Illinois College recognized for academic excellence April 27 when the liberal arts college held its annual Honors Day Celebration.
Thompson, a sophomore, was awarded the Martha Behr-Miller and William R. Miller Award for Foreign Study and an Outstanding Major in Environmental Biology and Ecological Studies Honor. Martha Behr-Miller and William R. Miller Award for Foreign Study assists students attending a university in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the Pacific Rim, or a Scandinavian country. An Oustanding Major in Environmental Biology and Ecological Studies Honor is awarded to majors who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements and service to the program.
Thompson, a graduate of Westminster Christian Academy, is the daughter of Steven and Peggy Thompson of Manchester.
