Carmen Kremitzki Earns Prestigious Academic Award at Illinois College

Carmen Kremitzki of Springfield was among the students at Illinois College recognized for academic excellence April 27 when the liberal arts college held its annual Honors Day Celebration.

Kremitzki, a junior, was awarded the James A. Meeks Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is presented to outstanding students in the history and political science department.

Kremitzki, a graduate of Lanphier High School, is the daughter of Mark and Marian Kremitzki of Springfield.

Founded in 1829, Illinois College is a residential liberal arts college fostering academic excellence rooted in opportunities for experiential learning while preparing students for lifelong success.
