Chance Vohlken Earns Prestigious Academic Award at Illinois College

Chance Vohlken of Greenville was among the students recognized April 27 when the liberal arts college held its annual Celebration of Excellence, a daylong celebration that allowed students and faculty to take part in activities that commend academic excellence, a hallmark of the college since its founding in 1829.

Vohlken, a junior, was awarded th eMiguel and Carmen Arce Student Award, the Frances Frisch Memorial Award, and the Carlea Melissa Steinmacher Wiedner Travel Award. Awarded to a student studying Spanish abroad . Awarded to selected students desiring to travel abroad. Awarded to a student studying Spanish abroad.

Vohlken, a graduate of Bond County Comm. Unit #2 High School, is the son of Joellen Vohlken of Greenville.
