Chance Vohlken, a junior of Greenville, is serving as president of Sigma Pi Literary Society at Illinois College for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Sigma Pi Literary Society was founded in 1843 and is the oldest of seven literary societies on the Illinois College campus. It also holds the distinction of being one of the first Greek letter organizations in the country. Notable figures among its early members include William Jennings Bryan, a three-time candidate of the Democratic Party for President of the United States; and John Wesley Powell, one of the first men to explore the Colorado River

Vohlken, a graduate of Bond County High School, is the son of Michael and Joellen Vohlken of Greenville.
