Claire Barclay Earns Prestigious Academic Award at Illinois College

Claire Barclay of Peoria was among the students at Illinois College recognized for academic excellence April 27 when the liberal arts college held its annual Honors Day Celebration.

Barclay, a sophomore, was awarded the Robert and Loreene Ray Music Scholarship. The Robert and Loreen Ray Music Scholarship is awarded for outstanding vocal or instrumental performance.

Barclay, a graduate of Peoria Christian High School, is the daughter of Peter and Jeanne Barclay of Peoria.
