Elizabeth Manary Earns Prestigious Academic Award at Illinois College

Elizabeth Manary of Moline was among the students at Illinois College recognized for academic excellence April 27 when the liberal arts college held its annual Honors Day Celebration.

Manary, a sophomore, was awarded the Ruth L. Fosnaugh Award and the Charlotte Hart Prize in Mathematics. The Ruth L. Fosnaugh Award is presented to an outstanding first year Spanish student. The Charlotte Hart Prize in Mathematics is awarded to an outstanding sophomore mathematics major who shows promise of academic achievement in the field.

Manary, a graduate of Moline High School, is the daughter of Nancy Manary of Moline.
