Freeport Resident Ross Barker Selected as Resident Assistant at Illinois College

Ross Barker of Freeport has been chosen to serve on the residence life staff at Illinois College for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Barker, a communication and rhetorical studies, and music major, graduated from Orangeville High School and is the son of Linda Keppen of Freeport and Creighton Barker of Orangeville.

Resident assistants, or RA's, serve the college in many capacities: as peer advisers for new residents, coordinators of residential life, and liaisons between the students and administration. RA's are responsible for creating an environment that promotes positive academic and social experiences.
