Katherine Baker Earns Prestigious Academic Award at Illinois College

Katherine Baker of Decatur was among the students at Illinois College recognized for academic excellence April 27 when the liberal arts college held its annual Honors Day Celebration.

Baker, a sophomore, was awarded the Mary Capps and Samuel N. Osborne Memorial Scholarship. The Mary Capps and Samuel N. Osborne Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a student entering their junior year with the intention of majoring in art.

Baker, a graduate of Lutheran School Association High School, is the daughter of Randy and Carole Baker of Decatur.
