Kayla McDaniel Earns Prestigious Academic Award at Illinois College

Kayla McDaniel of Jacksonville was among the students at Illinois College recognized for academic excellence April 27 when the liberal arts college held its annual Honors Day Celebration.

McDaniel, a graduate, was awarded the Martin and Jeanne Newman Scholarship. This scholarship is presented to a female junior or senior majoring in economics and business administration demonstrating scholastic excellence and departmental involvement.

McDaniel, a graduate of Jacksonville High School, is the daughter of Jeffrey McDaniel of Jacksonville and Joyce Brown of Ashland.
