Mariah Sisson Earns Prestigious Academic Award at Illinois College

Mariah Sisson of Virden was among the students at Illinois College recognized for academic excellence April 27 when the liberal arts college held its annual Honors Day Celebration.

Sisson, a sophomore, was awarded the Rammelkamp Honor for 2010-2011. This honor is awarded to the students with the highest cumulative grade point average in each of the first-year, sophomore and junior classes.

Sisson, a graduate of Virden High School, is the daughter of Richard and Stephanie Sisson of Virden.
