Mariah Sisson Receives Prestigious Academic Award at Illinois College

Mariah Sisson of Virden has been recognized as a Rammelkamp Scholar after ranking at the top of her class in 2010-2011.

Sisson, a graduate of Virden High School, was one of nine students who compiled the highest academic grade point average at Illinois College. Each Rammelkamp Scholar receives a stipend to apply toward tuition.

Sisson, is the daughter of Richard and Stephanie Sisson of Virden.

The Rammelkamp Award honors the memory of Dr. Charles Henry Rammelkamp, president of Illinois from 1905-1932. His career interest in academic excellence provided the inspiration for the award.
