Stephanie Pallay takes part in "Children of a Lesser God"

Illinois College TheatreWorks recently presented "Children of a Lesser God" directed by Nancy Taylor Porter in McGaw Fine Arts Center's Sibert Theatre.

The cast of this play included Stephanie Pallay of South Holland, a graduate of Munster High School, who played the role of Edna Klein.

"Children of a Lesser God" is based on the true story of a deaf actress and her hearing husband. Overcoming her initial wariness, James finally wins the heart of the intriguing Sarah. But their happiness splinters under the strain of different needs and judgments rooted in the divide between the hearing and deaf worlds. Can they truly understand and support one another, bridge the gap between them? As they learn to see themselves and their partners more clearly, they yearn for a place to love and live together between sound and silence.
