Taylor English Earns Prestigious Academic Award at Illinois College

Taylor English of Kempton was among the students at Illinois College recognized for academic excellence April 27 when the liberal arts college held its annual Honors Day Celebration.

English, a junior, was awarded the James A. Meeks Memorial Scholarships. James A. Meeks Memorial Scholarship honors outstanding students in the history and political science departments.

English, a graduate of Tri-Point High School, is the daughter of Don and Debra English of Kempton.

Founded in 1829, Illinois College is a residential liberal arts college fostering academic excellence rooted in opportunities for experiential learning while preparing students for lifelong success.
